Rabbi Olya Weinstein Joins Panel on Gender Equality in Israeli Society

PKI CEO Rabbi Olya Weinstein joined a distinguished panel marking the launch of the Russian translation of Professor Yofi Tirosh’s acclaimed book, Separate and Unequal: Gender Segregation in Israel. Hosted by Israel Shelanu, the event brought together leaders and advocates to discuss equality, immigration, and the future of Israeli society.

Drawing on PKI’s work with Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking immigrant women, Rabbi Olya highlighted the organization's 18-year commitment to advancing women’s leadership, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and liberal Judaism. Her remarks connected the broader discussion of gender segregation to the lived experiences of immigrant women and underscored the importance of ensuring diverse voices are represented in shaping a more inclusive and democratic Israel.
